Landfill Fees

The landfill uses approved scales for operation. The sum owing is determined by the pound for what is left in the landfill after the vehicles have been weighed in and out.

Household Hazardous Wastes

According to the kind and volume of trash, registered CESQGS are required to pay a charge. A company must produce fewer than 220 pounds of hazardous waste, or less than 2.2 pounds of specific types of extremely toxic waste.

Leachate Collection & Management

The chemical and particle contents of the waste are released when water comes into contact with it; this mixture is referred to as "leachate." If not adequately handled and caught, leachate, which may include dangerous chemicals, can seep through the soil and contaminate the groundwater.

  • In order to encourage alternatives to open burning and prevent these wastes from ending up in the landfill, the Asotin County Regional Landfill (ACRL) offers recycling services for wood waste. Residents of Asotin County and our solid trash partners are welcome to drop-off suitable woody waste at no cost under this program. Following chipping, the materials are utilized for "hog fuel" or other applications.

  • Curbside yard garbage collection is currently offered by the cities of Lewiston and Clarkston. On payment of a per usage charge, residents outside of Lewiston and Clarkston are permitted to transport their own yard waste to the Clearwater Composting Facility, which is situated at:
